Sump Pump Monitoring with the PTLevel

Protect your home with sump monitoring

A pressure sensor lets you continuously monitor water and liquid levels in tanks, containers, and sumps.

With the PTLevel, just lower the pressure chamber into the sump and then calibration is completed within the app. Pressure sensors are not affected by temperature, freezing, frost, or dirt. So, they can handle your most challenging, dirty, and humid environments like monitoring your sump.

Measure tanks as small as 18″ and as deep at 18′. 13′ of tubing included.

Fast and accurate measurements. The Wired WiFi PTLevel reports in every 2 minutes. The Long Range Wireless PTLevel is battery powered and can report in as frequently as every 4 minutes.

Frequently Asked Questions About Sump Monitors

What happens when my power goes out?

When the power goes out, your PTLevel is no longer collecting data and will not notify you of any alerts. After 12 hours, you will be sent a disconnection alert letting you know your PTLevel has lost connection with your WiFi. When your power is restored, your PTLevel will automatically reconnect to your WiFi.

How long will it take for me to receive an alert?

Wired WiFi PTLevel (requires power and a strong WiFi signal at your tank): The Wired WiFi PTLevel reports in every 2 minutes, and if your liquid level goes above your alert point for more than 2 checks, you will receive a notification. So you will receive an email or SMS alert within 4 minutes of the level actually going above the high point (or low point) set by you.

Long Range Wireless PTLevel (can be installed up to 1km away from WiFi, where the Receiver is installed): The Long Range Wireless is battery powered and the default settings only report the level twice per day. If you update your settings to “Aggressive Updating” you can also get an alert within 4 minutes of the level going above your set point.

What happens if my sump pump stays on and doesn’t shut off?

The PTLevel alerts notify users of high and low points. If your sump stays on and you have a low point set, then your PTLevel will send you an alert via SMS or email and let you know.

What is my sump is really dirty, sandy, or if I want to add some chlorine to the tank?

No problem! The pressure chamber and tubing are chemical resistant. The pressure sensor system is designed to measure the pressure of the liquid and compare it against the atmospheric pressure; so some sand in the water is not going to affect the pressure readings or accuracy.

If your water is very high is calcium or other minerals, just check to make sure the pressure chamber isn’t getting clogged with calcium build up over time (eg check once every year or 2).

Customer Testimonial

One time, the PTLevel sent me a text at work that my sump was low; I went home to investigate and my sump pump was stuck “on”. By getting the alert, I was able to save my pump from getting burnt out – or worse!
