Temperature Monitoring

Temperature Monitoring with the PTLevel

Temperature Monitoring

The PTLevel Temperature Sensor provides temperature monitoring solutions for water, chemicals, pipes, pumps, the ground, and more!

The stainless steel temperature probe is rated for -55o to 125oC

Why should you choose temperature monitoring?

PTLevel Temperature Monitoring Benefits

Compact, Narrow Diameter

Boasting only 6.4mm (about 1/4″) diameter and 50mm (about 2″) length. The small profile allows for discreet installations.

Temperature Alerts

Using our same secure and smart-reporting technology, you can set temperature alert points at temperatures you want to know about. SMS and email notifications available. Alerts get sent when the temperature goes above and below the set-point.

Measure heat or freezing

Prevent your pipes from freezing by measuring the temperature of your pipes. Or, measure your pump temperature to be alerted about overheating.

The stainless steep temperature probe is rated for -55oC to 125oC

Robust Sensor Housing

The chemical resistant and water-safe stainless steel case also has wire o-ring seals on all connection points to extend the sensor life.

No venting needed

Unlike our pressure sensors which require the sensor to “breath”, our temperature sensors do not require any venting.

No calibration needed

Factory calibrated by us in Ontario, Canada to a tenth of a degree.

Accurate to +/-5oC over the range of -10oC to 85oC

Where can you use the Temperature Sensor?

The PTLevel Temperature Sensor is easy to integrate into existing water/chemical/plumbing systems.
Since both liquid and non-liquid temperatures can be measured, applications for home-use or industrial and environmental applications can be monitored.

Groundwater, cisterns, rainwater system, wells
Stormwater system, rivers, lakes, oceans, canals, reservoirs

Simply install the temperature probe in the liquid. The low-profile diameter of the sensor and electrical cable makes installation discreet and easy.
Knowing the temperature can inform you of trends related to bacteria or algae issues.

Fridges, freezers, warehouses, offices, pipes and plumbing

The sensor can measure the temperature of the surrounding air and has 2 included temperature alert points. The current design requires the probe to be connected to power (a plug), but in future designs we will also have our long range wireless model. To install in a freezer or fridge, currently we recommend to drill a small hole and insert the probe through the hole into the freezer and then silicone around any leaks.
If installing on a pipe to be alerted to freezing pipes, simply zip-tie the sensor to the pipe. Then if possible, cover with insulation or insulated tape to get the most accurate temperature readings.

Industrial applications like fertilizer tanks, chemical tanks

Simply install the temperature probe into the liquid. The stainless steel temperature probe and the chemical resistant rubber coating on the electrical wire makes chemical tank monitoring easy and safe.
Understanding and controlling the temperature of some substances and chemicals is crucial in various applications to ensure their stability, effectiveness, and safety.

Ground temperatures, landfill, garden beds

By inserting the temperature probe into the ground, you’re able to monitor the ground temperature fluctuations. This is great for farmers getting ready to plant, compost pile monitoring, and even the average gardener eager to get their seeds started growing.
Soil temperature affects germination of seeds and most soil organisms function best at optimal soil temperatures.
